Dr. Joe Mekiliuwa holds a B.Sc. Computer
Science degree from the University of Benin, Benin City; Masters Degree
(M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Lagos; Masters Degree
in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State;
Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomacy M.(ILD) from the
University of Lagos, Lagos; Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D) in Management
from Aldersgate College, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, etc; an
Alumnus of Lagos Business School, Lagos, and Alumnus of London
Business School, UK, etc.
He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS), Member,
Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK), Associate Member,
Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), Professional member from UK
International Professional Institutes; Institute of Management Specialist
(Comp. IMS, UK); Professional Business and Technical Management
(C.PBTM, UK); The Academy of Executives and Administrators (C.AEA, UK);
The Academy of Multi-Skills (Comp. AMS, UK); He has attended several
courses/trainings, workshops and strategic meetings in Europe, North and
South America, Asia, etc that took him to over 50 countries of the world.
He led several committees on Capital Market initiatives in Nigeria, also the
Technical Chairman, West African Capital Market Integration and Technical
Chairman African Exchanges Linkage Project . He is currently the Principal
Consultant of Joe Mekiliuwa Consulting Services Limited after being the
General Manager and Divisional Head (Business Development and Corporate
Services) , and the Divisional Head( IT/ Operations) for several years in
Central Securities Clearing System Plc of the Nigerian Capital Market. He is
a Council Member of Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), a
member of Board of Trustees, FMDQ Exchange Investor Protection Fund, a
Current Board Member of Emerging Africa Capital Group, FMDQ Depository
Ltd. He was the pioneer Managing Director of FMDQ Depository Limited, and
currently the Technical Adviser to FMDQ Group of companies and Non-
Executive Director of FMDQ Depository Limited.
He graduated from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1990 with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Economics with a First Class degree. He joined the services of Chevron Nigeria Limited as a temporary staff in the medical division of the company with a mandate to automate the medical and pharmaceutical services of the department. He worked briefly at Computer Software Associates (CSA) as a Software Analyst and Systems Automation Limited respectively. His Masters programme was in Finance from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
He joined the Management Development Programme (MDP) of First City Monument Bank (FCMB Group) with considerable experience in CSL Stockbrokers Limited and CSL Registrars Limited, both subsidiaries of FCMB Plc where he had enormous exposure to local Market (spanning share registration, Investment Front Office & Back Office Operations (Settlement & Custody Operations), Equity Trading and Financial Analysis) and Foreign Markets Operations.
He studied International Securities and Investment Banking at ICMA Centre (a Capital Markets Educational Centre founded and financed by the International Capital Markets Association (a body of International Investment Banks of Europe) in the University of Reading, United Kingdom where he earned a Masters degree. He took up appointment with Lead Securities & Investment Limited (now Lead Capital Limited) as the Chief Operating Officer and Investment Manager. While with Lead Capital, he was extensively involved in securities dealings (equities and fixed income), investment marketing, research, advisory and primary market capital raising transactions. Some of the landmark transactions he took part in were - UAC Rights Issue, Obudu Ranch Development Bonds and Cornerstone rights issue amongst others.
He makes contributions and presentations on Capital Market to leading Educational and Financial Institutions in Nigeria and Overseas.
Oluwasegun is a Chartered Stockbroker, an Educator as well as a Value Investor. He is an active member of Ikoyi Club and Rotary Club International.
is the Managing Partner of Ayetin Kainayor & Co. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, in 1997; he enrolled as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1999.
He is also an Alumnus of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. He was a former Associate Partner of Thompson Okpoko & Partners, one of the leading Law and Partnership Firm in Nigeria.
He has experience in Commercial Law Practice, Oil & Gas as well Finance and Investment Matters. The Firm also handles Employment and Company Security Matters.
